About
Let's get you planning a party!
When I started planning parties for my own daughters, what I found in stores was depressing. What I found online was inspiring, but it left me confused. No one was really breaking down how to create a custom party from scratch. And that’s my sweet spot.
I’m a self-taught party planner, and if I can teach myself and squeeze parties into my schedule – and start a business all about parties – I know I can help you, too.
In 2011, I launched Double the Fun Parties (now, The Party Teacher). My parties have been featured in magazines and leading party sites, including Huffington Post, Women’s Day, ProFlowers, Shutterfly, Evite, Hostess With The Mostess, Kara’s Party Ideas and more!

Make your party something your child will always remember because YOU made the party.
If you’re a busy mom who knows WHAT you want but not HOW to get there, I can give you a road map.
Let’s lessen your workload and double your fun. Because birthday parties should be more than just amazing decorations and dessert tables. They should be — you know — about your child. They should be fun.
About Jennifer
I am an Atlanta-based wife, mom and children’s party planner. Between my twin girls, and a full-time job, I am wack-a-doodle busy most of the time. When I’m sitting still, I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting to do something. Sound familiar? But party planning is one thing I always seem to be able to find time for. (Yes, I’ve been known to stir spaghetti sauce, add a coat of paint to some party favors, stir the sauce again …)
With this kind of schedule, you’d think that a commercial party store would be just my speed. Run down the aisle, pop it in the cart. But they turn me off. Like Snoopy’s Christmas tree in A Charlie Brown Christmas, it’s just too commercial for me.
So I started creating my own birthday parties — joint birthday celebrations designed to make two very different girls happy. After a few years of my friends saying, “You should be a party planner,” I decided they might be onto something!
I have been planning and hosting events since 2006. Inspired by my own twins, I founded Double the Fun Parties in 2011. In 2015, I rebranded to The Party Teacher, to reflect a renewed commitment to educating moms about how to party like a pro.
